Hello to all my followers from the EU, UK, OZ, and elsewhere outside the US!

I'm partnering with Quartermaster Logistics for fulfillment. I have had discussions with them about how to provide the goods duty free. At this point, it appears I'm just too small to pull it off. It's the easiest thing in the world to promise, but can be a deadly error for small companies to make. As things stand right now, the Kickstarter will be subject to import taxes.

To help compensate for that, I have been able to keep the shipping charges low. Quartermaster is able to do consolidated shipping all over the world. This will reduce the cost of shipping the heaviest item we have, the Hero pledge level and unlocked stretch goals, from a potential $60-plus US Postal Service charge down to $25.

I hope this helps, and perhaps as this operation grows I'll have more capabilities. I do appreciate any pledge you make!

Kind regards,

Forrest

Meet Your Gunfighter: The Outlaw

We're off to a great start, with 32 backers in about 12 hours, which is not too shabby!

Each character in Gunfight Royale has unique abilities. At the start of the game, everyone selects a character, and this must be done carefully and with other people's choices in mind, as well as the nature of the scenario. As I profile the gunfighters in the game, I think this will become more and more apparent!

Notice the bounty listed for each gunfighter. This is a expressed as a dollar value but has nothing to do with the Kickstarter funding; it's part of the scoring system in the game (didn't want to confuse you since we'll also have stretch goal figures that have dollar values  for the amount required to unlock them). For each enemy you eliminate, you earn points equal to their bounty. At the end of the game, you add to this points earned by accomplishing objectives and collecting items.

Let's meet our first gunfighter: the "mascot" for the game, the guy on all the artwork, the "Loose Cannon!"

More updates soon!

Adios,

Forrest

We're Off to the Races!

Thanks to all of you for joining us on this journey! We accidentally started a little earlier than we had announced, but fortunately we were ready to go.

This month is going to be a lot of fun, with the opportunity to secure the basic game's production plus add lots of extra characters and surprises.

The game is designed to be a gateway to miniatures games for people who don't consider themselves hobbyists, but do enjoy a good strategy board game or arena-style video game. No painting or modelling is required; the game can be played straight out of the box. If you have friends or family members who would enjoy a game like this, invite them into the KS or pick up an extra copy for them!

If you are a tabletop minis gamer, this has enough strategic teeth to it to challenge you, and best of all, it can be carried to game night in a backpack. If you're a Gunfighter's Ball player, these rules and cards can be lifted straight out of the board game and applied to what you're already playing with just a few homemade tweaks. Also, the game spaces are large enough to accommodate GB figures (and the unique characters in the game are available as GB-style add-ons).

Finally, here are some quick renders of the figures in the game. I'll be posting bios of each of them over the next week so you can get to know the gunfighters of Gunpowder Gulch!

The troublemakers of Gunpowder Gulch

That's it for now. Let's get the word out there, and I'll be talking to you soon!

Adios,

Forrest
