Hello everyone,
The game is away being printed; I expect a physical proof in my shop in the next three weeks. If I'm able to approve everything without alterations then the presses will start rolling in earnest and I must make room for seven or eight pallets!
The custom wood tokens are in production and, as you know, the poker chip add-on is finished. The expansion boards are undergoing some graphic design work to add all the iconography to them, which is important to the game. The metal production continues to roll along.
I want to highlight a date for you. The end of September is when the backerkit will be closed so that we have our final numbers for the production of the add-ons and stretch goals. I had originally said that we would close it at the beginning of September, but I'd like to make one more push for preorders before that date. Cards will not be charged until just prior to shipping, which will likely be January.
If you know anyone who would like to get in, please let them know that they can preorder the game and add-ons by simply going to the Kickstarter page and clicking on the Preorder link.

July 7th Progress Report

Hello everyone,
The name of the game right now is Production. Everything is progressing nicely. The wooden token set is the latest item to be designed and put into production; I'm awaiting samples from the first run.
I have not shown you what the box will look like; here is the unfolded proof:
We're busy casting and packing miniatures, a process which I expect to take till around September.
Just a reminder to go into Backerkit and make your reward selections if you're not one of the 90% who have done so already!

Gunfight Royale Update

Hi everyone,
Lots of progress this past week.
We are packing miniatures at our shop. The cartoon metals are rolling along, and next week I'll make the production molds for the Gunfighter's Ball versions of the metal figures. Production on those will start the following week.
The poker chips came in from New Jersey and have been packaged in our shop; they are ready for the backer kits!
The supplier in Virginia making the wooden tokens has the designs ready and I expect a proof this week.
The plastic supplier is in Utah and his company has our masters and is preparing them for production.
I am probably about a month out from getting a final proof of the boxed game components. Instead of using one of the big production houses like Panda, we have sourced it through a very high quality supplier who works primarily in the tabletop miniatures arena, and has done work for Games Workshop. His factory in Hong Kong made the mats for the Gunfighter's Ball kickstarter and they were very high quality.
Thank you all for your patience--this will a fantastic game and I for one am looking forward to getting my hands on the final product!

Gunfight Royale News

Hi everybody,
Last week was exciting; we signed off on the manufacturing order for 1500 copies of Gunfight Royale!
The presses will start rolling in about a month or a month and a half after we've gone through the process of samples and proofs.
The metal cartoon minis are almost all cast and we're starting to package them.
The plastic casting process is in the mastering phase.
Thousands of poker chips arrive at the shop Tuesday.

Gunfight Royale Update

Hello everyone,
The final quote is in from our printer and we'll be uploading digital files to their server this week. The box is the last piece of art design to be completed, and hopefully by next week it will be done and ready for printing. After that we'll have to wait for a proof to make sure everything looks the way we expect it to, then presses can roll!
The metal miniatures production is right on track. We start bagging, boxing, and labelling metal cartoon miniature sets this week, and I will make the molds for the Gunfighter's Ball versions so we can start cranking those out.
This is going to be cool!
