Hello everyone,

I'd like to extend a warm welcome to our new backers who joined us in April!

If the timeline I was given by my broker is correct, the games are currently at sea and will make landfall sometime later this month or early June. After clearing the port in LA, they will go by rail to Chicago and by semi to me. As soon as I have more info I'll pass it along.

Thanks to everyone for your patience; I know it's been a long wait!

All the best,

Forrest

THE WANDERINGS OF MY VAGABOND PALLETS
about 2 years ago – Wed, Apr 20, 2022 at 12:24:31 PM

I have been given an update on the status of the games reaching me.

I had expected them to go to sea in January. As it turns out, they sat awaiting approval after the dry erase markers in the game boxes got flagged by Chinese port authorities as "liquids." This delayed it into February, which is Chinese New Year; the country shuts down for a month. After that, China shut down because of Covid, delaying it further. I'm told it has now shipped. It will be 45 days at sea (approximately), then work its way through the port, over rail to Chicago, and by semi to me. I will keep you posted as I receive information on the progress of the shipment.

Hard at work loading my game on the ship.

Thank you all for bringing this game to life. It will eventually show up and we can get down to business. If it's like our 2018 kickstarter, we took dolly-loads of boxes to the post office every day for about two or three weeks. It won't take long once everything is in house.

If you are in the Chicago area, come visit us at Little Wars in Naperville this weekend. We'll have the game with us to show off!

Hello everyone,

I want to thank you for your patience as we wait for merchandise to come in. I spoke to the broker making all the arrangements, and we're being told the pallets and other materials will arrive in April. The goods were shipped way back on January 8th, but there is a lot of congestion in the system right now (famously) and things are not moving at their normal pace. I will leave the preorder page open until I'm given an exact delivery date, at which time cards for add-ons will be run and the cart will be closed to preorders.

On another note, I will be at Adepticon in the Chicago suburbs, March 23-27. If you've never been to this event, it's a gathering of about 10,000 gamers with tournaments for Warhammer and other popular games, as well as classes on painting and modeling, open gaming, and a huge and extremely impressive vendor area; many of the same companies you would see at GenCon, but with an emphasis on tabletop games.

I will be there with a sample of Gunfight Royale and will be showing it off, so if you can make it, look for the Knuckleduster Miniatures booth!

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm really getting excited about fulfillment. We've got space, the manpower, and the expertise to get it done quickly; all we need are the games!

STATUS REPORT
about 2 years ago – Thu, Feb 03, 2022 at 03:06:49 PM

Hi Everyone,

Just a few quick notes.

We've now completed all metal casting for the campaign and those items are packaged. My plastic casting outfit will be shipping figures to me within a week or two and we'll box those for fulfillment. The tokens and poker chips are ready to go as well. The shipment of games is still on the ocean (or waiting offshore to get into port).

The last thing we will likely receive are the expansion cards, extra boards, and the plastic tray liners. We're waiting for news on their progress.

You may have heard about our blizzard here in the Midwest. The last thing I got accomplished at the shop before shutting down for a few days was to re-arrange to make room for pallets; since I don't know exactly where they at the moment, I could get a call from a trucking company any day scheduling a drop-off!

When the games come in, we'll immediately start fulfilling backer kits. If the expansion cards and boards haven't shown up yet, we'll start shipping Loose Cannon sets (no stretch goals).  Since we are a full-time operation, we should be able to get 10-20 kits out per day when the time comes.

When I get final word of delivery, we'll have Backerkit run credit cards and a request will go out for you to confirm your current address.

Thanks you for your kind support and your patience awaiting delivery. Please let me know if you have any questions during these final weeks.

All the best,

Forrest

The Home Stretch

Hi Everyone,

Happy Holidays!

The games are in transit to our shop. They are travelling via the infamous container ship method, with all of their well-publicized perils and delays. That means about six weeks to our door, give or take. The gloomiest estimate is March, and the best case scenario is the end of January for the pallets to arrive here.

The same company is making the expansion boards, the plastic tray liners, and the card decks for the expansion figures, and those will be sent via air freight when finished; it's likely they will get here before the pallets of actual games.

The company casting the plastic figures have sent samples for us to approve; they're looking great! They will have them completed in about a month.

Our work in the shop is almost complete. We're packaging the last set of metal figures, and we've only got about 50 copies to go till they are all done.

So all around good news!

Housekeeping items:

1. For those of you who are pre-order-only backers, or anyone who has added items in Backerkit, they will not charge your card until we give them the go-ahead. We will not have them run cards until just before we start shipping.

2. If you haven't completed your backer survey, please go in and do that. If you need any help, I'm glad to go under the hood and tinker with your settings.

3. The preorder cart will remain open for now; if you have friends or relatives who want in, just send them to the Kickstarter page and they can click on "preorder."

Thanks for backing the game, and please let me know if I can help with anything!

All the best,

Forrest
